WILDCAT TRAIL SECTION 2 "CRAGGAN"

Duration: 1 hour

Elevation Change : 0 ( +200ft starting from village)

A gentle walk through crafting land with good views to Creag Dhubh and the Monadhliath.

You can take a diversion to the the Craggan viewpoint offering panoramic views of the village and the mountains to the east – Braeriach (Am Braigh Riabhach -  the greyish-brown speckled slope)  and Cairngorm (the blue cairn), part
of the Grampian massif.

The trail leaves the woods to have views of open morrland and the Monadhliath where you might spot buzzards soaring overhead, red grouse, curlews and peewits which breed on the moor, red deer and mountain hare. The trail continues to the Strone section of the walk - Go to Next Section
