WILDCAT TRAIL SECTION 1 "CALDER – MILTON – GLEN BANCHOR"

Duration: 1 hour

Elevation Change : + 200ft

The walk passes Banchor Cemetery, up a steep incline to the Calder gorge with great views down to the river, where in Spring, salmon can be sometimes be seen leaping.

Leaving the Calder gorge you pass the ruins of an old Township. You then climb again to obtain great views of Creag Dhubh. There is a plaque above the curve of the river showing the names of the surrounding hills and mountains. 

The walk then takes yoou through Milton Wood before joining Glen Road and onto the next section through Craggan - Go to Next Section
